8. What is your favourite restaurant? Why?

Well，I seldom eat out，but one restaurantimpressed me deeply. It was several years ago whenI was in Beijing. A friend of mine invited me to havedinner at the old Peking Noodle Restaurant，whichfaithfully carries on the old eating customs from ahundred year ago. Diners all sit around square tableswhich are painted dark red and the waiters (nowaitresses can be found there) wear traditionalcostumes with white towels on the shoulders. Thefood they serve there is said to be genuine old Peking snacks that aren"t available elsewhere.
嗯，我很少去饭馆吃饭，但是有一个餐厅给我留下很深的印象。是几年前我 在北京的时候，我的一个朋友请我去老北京面馆吃饭，那里如实地继承了一百年前的老式饮食风俗。食客们都围着方桌坐成一圈，桌子被漆成深红色，男服务员(那里没有女服务员)穿着传统的装束，肩膀上还搭着白毛巾。那里的食物据说是别的地方没有的真正的老北京小吃。
9. When do people go out eating?
人们什么时候去饭馆吃饭?
Sometimes people go out eating just for a gettogether. They usually find a favourite restaurantand chat there. Or, as is growing more popular, many people go to restaurant for traditionalfamily reunion dinners on New Year"s Eve，known as nianyefan. And sometimes people go outeating simply for improving the relationship between business partners?
有时人们就是为了聚会而去饭馆吃饭。他们通常会找一家最喜欢的饭馆吃饭聊天。或者，越来越流行的，很多人为了除夕夜传统的合家团圆饭而去饭馆，这就是所谓的 “年夜饭”。有的时候人们去饭馆吃饭只是简单地为了增进商业伙伴之间的关系。
10. When do you usually eat out?
10. 你通常都在什么时候出去吃饭呢?
Generally speaking，I usually eat out a lot. You know，I usually feel so tired that don"t feel likedoing anything after studying for the whole day. So I usually run into McDonald or KFC to graba quick bite and then drag myself home to get some sleep. But it is certainly not the thing thathappens every day. As I am only a student, there is no way for me to splash money about byeating out everyday. So I would say it really depends. It depends on whether I have enoughpocket money or not?
一般来说，我通常都出去吃饭。在完成一整天的学习之后，我经常都觉得筋疲力尽，什么也不想做了。因此我 经常都会去麦当劳或者肯德基来顿快餐，然后拖着疲惫的身体回家睡觉。但也并不是每天都这样的。由于我现在还是个学生，这也就意味着我不可能每天都在外面吃，所以要视情况而定。这就取决于我是否有零花钱了。
11. Who would prefer to eat out more，the youngsters or the elder people?
11. 谁更喜欢去外面吃呢，年轻人还是老人呢?
Talking about this question，youngsters are definitely the demographic who are more likely toeat out. They are always popping into nice restaurants, ordering expensive food while catchingup with their friends. But it would turn out to become totally another picture when it comes tothe elder people. They tend to stay at home，cooking on their own.
谈到这个问题，从统计数字来看，年轻人显然更喜欢去外面吃。他们总是出现在一些漂亮的饭店，点最贵的食物来招待他们的朋友。但是如果是老年人的话，就完全是另一番景象了。他们趋向于待在家里，自己做饭吃。
