热解物质受热发生分解的反应过程。许多无机物质和有机物质被加热到一定程度时都会发生分解反应。热解过程不涉及催化剂,以及其他能量,如紫外线辐射所引起的反应。分类 按原料分为:无机物热解 有工业意义的无机物热解反应如碳酸氢钠焙烧生成碳酸钠: 2NaHCO3─→Na2CO3+H2O+CO2石灰石(碳酸钙)焙烧生成生石灰(氧化钙): CaCO3─→CaO+CO2氧化汞热解生成元素汞: 2HgO─→O2+2Hg氯酸钾热解生成高氯酸钾: 4KClO3─→3KClO4+KCl有机物热解 有工业意义的有机物热解过程很多,常因具体工艺过程而有不同的名称。在隔绝空气下进行的热解反应,称为干馏,如煤干馏、木材干馏;甲烷热解生成炭黑称为热分解;烷基苯或烷基萘热解生成苯或萘常称为热脱烷基(见脱烷基);由丙酮制乙烯酮称为丙酮裂解等。烃类的热解过程常区别为热裂化和裂解(见烃类裂解)。前者的温度通常<600℃,其目的是由重质油生产轻质油,进而再加工成发动机燃料。后者则温度较高(通常>700℃),且物料在反应器中停留时间较短,其目的是获得石油化工的基本原料如乙烯、丙烯、丁二烯、芳烃等。一般说来,无机物的热解反应比较简单;有机物热解时,由于会产生副反应,产物组成往往比较复杂。例如石油烃裂解时,除获得低分子量烯烃外,还有因聚合、缩合等副反应,而生成比原料分子量更大的产物,如焦油等。供热方式 热解过程需要吸收大量热能。工业上的供热方式可分为自热过程和外热过程。例如石灰石热解生成石灰,温度在800℃以上,甚至在氧存在下也不影响反应过程,因此可采用直接煅烧的工业窑炉进行外供热过程。对于石油馏分的裂解,反应温度在750℃以上,且要求尽可能低的烃分压,产物为可燃气体,因此常用间壁传热方式(如管式炉裂解)或由载热体直接供热(如蓄热炉裂解、砂子炉裂解、高温水蒸气裂解等)的外热过程。但也可以用烧去一部分原料进行自热过程,如天然气或重油部分燃烧热解制乙炔、炭黑等。由于管式炉裂解制低碳烯烃的优越性很多,近代石油烃裂解几乎都采用此法。
