侯德封矿物岩石地球化学青年科学家奖奖项名称: 侯德封矿物岩石地球化学青年科学家奖其他名称: 侯德封奖创办时间: 1986主办单位: 中国矿物岩石地球化学学会奖项介绍“侯德封矿物岩石地球化学青年科学家奖”原名“侯德封奖”。由中国矿物岩石地球化学学会主办，2002年在国家科技奖励办公室获准登记，成为社会力量所办奖项。经国家科技部审批、登记，决定从2002年起正名为“侯德封矿物岩石地球化学青年科学家奖”（简称侯德封奖）。以奖励在矿物学、岩石学、地球化学和沉积学领域做出了创造性成果的青年科技工作者。本奖是一种荣誉奖，为金质奖章一枚、证书一件，并辅以适量的奖金，以表彰我国在矿物学、岩石学、地球化学（包括沉积学）研究中作出了卓越、创造性贡献的、年龄不超过35周岁的科技工作者，并从应届获奖者中遴选中国青年科学家奖候选人作为本会推荐给中国科协的人选。本奖每两年受理一次，逢双年评选和授奖；或根据理事会的建议延期办理。每次可授予矿物学奖、岩石学奖和地球化学奖各两名；每个学科允许空缺，宁缺毋滥。经理事会审批准和授权，本会设侯德封奖评选委员会，负责评奖工作。学会秘书处为其办事机构。评选委员会由若干委员组成，理事长为当然主任委员，委员由理事长提名，常务理事会聘任。设秘书一人。评选委员会向理事会负责并报告工作，任期与理事会相同，随理事会的改选而换届。委员可以连任，但每届必须更新二分之一左右。侯德封奖候选人主要由全国有学术委员会组织的有关研究机构、大学和本会有关专业委员会推荐产生。
