气浮使悬浮物附着气泡而上升到水面，从而分离水和悬浮物的水处理方法。也有使水中表面活性剂附着在气泡表面上浮，从而与水分离，称为泡沫气浮法。气浮法使用的设备，包括完成分离过程的气浮池和产生气泡的附属设备。水处理中，气浮法可用于沉淀法不适用的场合，以分离比重接近于水和难以沉淀的悬浮物，例如油脂、纤维、藻类等，也可用以浓缩活性污泥。原理 悬浮物表面有亲水和憎水之分。憎水性颗粒表面容易附着气泡，因而可用气浮法。亲水性颗粒用适当的化学药品处理后可以转为憎水性。水处理中的气浮法，常用混凝剂使胶体颗粒结成为絮体，絮体具有网络结构，容易截留气泡，从而提高气浮效率。再者，水中如有表面活性剂（如洗涤剂）可形成泡沫，也有附着悬浮颗粒一起上升的作用。气泡产生方法 产生微气泡的方法，常用的有曝气气浮法和溶气气浮法两种。曝气气浮法 在气浮池的底部设置微孔扩散板或扩散管，压缩空气从板面或管面以微小气泡形式逸出于水中。也有在池底处安装叶轮，轮轴垂直于水面，而压缩空气通到叶轮下方，借叶轮高速转动时的搅拌作用，将大气泡切割成为小气泡。溶气气浮法 溶解在水中的气体，在水面气压降低时就可以从水中逸出。有两种方法：①使气浮池上的空间呈为真空状态，处在常压下的水流进池后即释出微气泡，称真空溶气法；②空气加压溶入水中达到饱和，溶气水流减压进入气浮池时即释出微气泡，称加压溶气法。后者较为常用。加压溶气水可以是所处理水的全部或一部分，也可以是气浮池出水的回流水，回流水量占所处理水量的百分比称回流比，是影响气浮效率的重要因素，须由试验确定。加压溶气法的设备有加压泵、溶气罐和空气压缩机等。溶气罐为承压钢筒，内部常设置导流板或放置填料。溶气罐出水通过减压阀或释放器进入气浮池。气浮池 平面通常为长方形，平底。出水管位置略高于池底。水面设刮泥机和集泥槽。因为附有气泡的颗粒上浮速度很快，所以气浮池容积较小，水流逗留时间仅十余分钟。(见彩图)
