导波光学集成材料导波光学集成材料guided-waveopticalintegrated materials波导后，在使用波长范围的传输损耗，必须小于ldB/cm。③不仅能传输光，而且具有产生、探测和调制光等功能，可以在同一衬底上做成具有较强功能的单片集成光路。④便于波导及器件制作，在各种外界环境下性能稳定。种类常用的导波光学集成材料有半导体(见半导体光电集成材料)、绝缘晶体、无定形光波导材料、有机聚合物光波导材料等。绝缘晶体用于导波光学集成的绝缘晶体可制作光波导、光控制元件及其集成回路，但一般都不能做光源和光探测器。常用的有以下3种。①铁电晶体:主要是LINbO3晶体。它具有极好的压电、电光和波导性质。除了不能做探测器外，适合制作各种波导元件。制作LINbO3光波导，可采用扩散、质子交换和离子注入等方法。现已研制成各种光波导调制器、开关和偏转器、模式转换器、滤波器、波分复用器、模一数转换器、声光频谱分析器、倍频器以及多种光波导传感器等，一个衬底上已能集成上百个元件。还演示了各种光信息处理和光计算功能的导波和集成光学元件，如集成光学合成孔径雷达处理器、相关器、卷积器、Fourier变换器、Walsh变换器、多信道数据处理器、网格滤波、多种矩阵一矢量乘法器、半加器和逻辑元件等。并在掺Nd和MgO的LINbO3材料中，已用质子交换和Ti扩散工艺，制成了波导激光器和放大器。上述部分元件已成为产品，应用于光纤通信及电子对抗系统。LINbO3晶体的质量已由原来的声学级进入光波导级，其组分均匀性好，LiZO的变化范围为士0 .02mol%，折射率变化小于士0.0001。LjNbO3晶体抗光损能力差，掺MgO可提高抗光损伤阑值。LINbO3光波导的传输损耗较低。②铁石榴石晶体:具有较大的磁光效应。采用外延生长可以形成光波导调制器。例如，在Gd3ScZA13O，2衬底上外延生长Eu3GaoO，2、Gd 3 Se。注3Ga‘名70，2或Y3ScZA10.glGa2.ooolZ光波导层，在Gd3Ga5OI:(111)衬底上外延生长Y3F氏3Sco.7O，2光波导层。这些光波导的损耗较大(尤其在可见光区)，构成的磁光调制器一般只能用于光波长大于1群m的场合，因此这些波导器件的发展和应用均受到限制。③新型非线性光学晶体:主要有KTP(KTIOPO‘)、BBO(刀一BaBZO;)、IJBO(LIB3OS)。KTP晶体可用钩(Rb)、艳(Cs)或锐(TD的熔融硝酸盐，制作离子交换光波导、Mach一Zehnder调制器，以及获得二次谐波等。BBO和LBO是近几年由中国首先发展起来的性能优良的非线性晶体，这两种晶体的光波导器件正在研制中。无定形光波导材料无定形材料又称非晶态材料、玻璃态材料。
