航天器机动飞行航天器有目的地改变原有轨道的过程。机动飞行中的力学问题丰富了航天动力学的研究内容，为轨道选择提供更多的灵活性。根据不同目的，机动飞行分为：①轨道转移：从一条轨道转移到另一条轨道，用于发射远距离的人造地球卫星、月球和行星探测器(见过渡轨道)。②轨道交会和拦截:两个航天器同时到达空间同一点,称为轨道拦截；两个航天器不但同时到达空间同一点，而且在相遇时的相对速度接近于零，称为轨道交会（见交会和对接）。③从轨道上返回：这是比较简单的轨道机动，它使航天器脱离原有的轨道，在地面降落（见返回轨道）。④轨道保持和轨道修正：轨道保持是克服某些摄动力，使轨道变化始终符合任务的要求(见轨道保持)。轨道修正是为了提高轨道精度，弥补运载器的入轨误差和运行中轨道的摄动。尤其是航天器飞向月球或行星时，由于航程很长，初始速度的大小和方向对轨道影响较大，需要多次修正轨道。
