湿润区水文指湿润地区水文现象及其变化规律。湿润区一般指降水量大于蒸发量的地区。湿润区水文主要特点是流域内降水、地表径流、地下水及流域蓄水均较丰沛,土壤缺水量相对较小,流域内水资源丰富。从水量平衡结构看,是收入大于支出,降水与径流存在较好的相关关系。湿润区河流水文状况主要表现在河流基流稳定,洪水峰高、量大,地表径流与地下径流过程线界线明显,径流年际变化小。湿润区河流补给以大气降水为主,地下径流为辅,大气降水中又以液态降水为主,少数为积雪融水补给。湿润区河流的洪水水文过程线多连接叠置,很少见孤峰形洪水。由于受地下水影响,退水过程线拉得很长。湿润地区的河川径流以赤道带最高,高径流量分布地区与最大蒸发量分布地区基本一致。中国湿润区除温带地区春季有部分融雪补给外,河川径流基本上为雨水补给,河流基本流量稳定,多年变化较平缓,年内分配相对较均匀。湿润区具有丰富的水资源,不少地区人类开发利用也早。也由于水资源的过度开发,资源破坏严重,环境日趋恶化。因此,加强对湿润区水量平衡,人类活动的水文效应、生态效应及其评价,洪水和干旱等的研究已是一项十分紧迫的任务,它对解决湿润区水资源、维护湿润区生态平衡具有重要意义。
