高吸水高分子材料高吸水高分子材料polymericsuper-absorbent of water高吸水高分子材料polymeric super一absorbentof water轻度交联的阴离子型聚电解质,能在较短时间(几秒至几十秒)内,吸持其自身重量300一1000倍,甚至更多的液态去离子水,成为水凝胶的高分子材料。被吸收的水包封在高分子的网络中,即使在加压情况下也不易失去,干燥后可恢复原有的吸水能力。高吸水高分子材料是美国在20世纪70年代初首先开发出来的。组成高吸水高分子材料主要由3部分组成:①轻微交联的高分子骨架。多数是亲水性的,具有经基、酞胺基、醚键等亲水结构。有些材料在分子式上看不出有交联点,但实际上是交联的,只是交联机理尚不清楚。交联结构约束吸水,使之只能成为凝胶,而不最终溶解。②连接在高分子链上的阴离子。极大多数是竣基,个别是磺酸基。③与阴离子保持平衡的可移动阳离子。通常是钠离子。密集的阴阳离子,遇水产生渗透压,是吸水动力的主要来源;吸水的另一部分动力,来自高分子结构中的亲水基团和结构,它们通过水化吸附水分。种类高吸水高分子材料可分两大类:①半合成型。如美国最先开发的就是将丙烯睛接枝共聚在淀粉上,经过皂化,聚丙烯睛链段的氰基一部分水解成梭基,一部分水解成酞胺基,淀粉也可以直接与丙烯酸接枝共聚。纤维素经梭甲基化,再用适当的交联剂交联,也能制造高吸水树脂。②全合成型。简单的如丙烯酸钠在很少量交联剂存在下,甚至不用交联剂而用特种引发剂进行聚合,就可以得到高吸水树脂。将醋酸乙烯酷和丙烯酸甲酷共聚,皂化后得到乙烯醇一丙烯酸钠型高吸水树脂。此外,还有聚氧乙烯型、聚乙烯醉一环状酸醉接枝共聚物型、异丁烯一马来酸共聚物型、醋酸乙烯醋一不饱和二元酸共聚物型等。用途由于高吸水高分子材料的吸水保水性、吸水后的膨胀性、粘附性、缓释性等,已应用在以下方面。①农业园艺:土壤中加入少量高吸水高分子材料,等于增添了无数微小水库,改善团粒结构,是改良早田土壤的好途径。但因成本高,尚难推广。还在试验探索改造沙漠。用高吸水高分子材料涂覆作物种子(使用量一般为种子的l一2%),抗旱播种,已在小麦、玉米、棉花、甜菜等作物上取得成功经验。另一实际应用是移栽沾根,在苗木移植上效果更显著。②生理卫生用品:可用高吸水高分子材料代替棉、纸粕生产妇女卫生巾、婴儿纸尿布。它们一般是多层结构、在两层透水纸之间夹一层纸粕和高吸水高分子材料。③土木建筑:高吸水高分子材料与乙烯一醋酸乙烯醋树脂、聚氯乙烯、聚氨酷树脂和橡胶混配,做成各种密封胶、密封件,也用于建筑物嵌缝、地下电缆防水、环管接头密封等方面。高吸水高分子材料遇水膨胀,压迫共混材料堵住一切隙缝,防止渗漏。高吸水高分子材料由于吸水能力受溶解电解质抑止,生产成本比较高,在应用上,尤其农业应用上受到限制。(郑平)
