师陀(1910～1988)现代小说家。原名王长简，笔名常用的有师陀、芦焚，还用过君西、康了斋等，河南杞县人。19 4月19日生。在开封读中学时即爱好文艺。1931年"九·一八"事变后，以芦焚为笔名开始在《文学》、《现代》、《申报·自由谈》等报刊上发表作品。1936年起，一直在上海从事文学创作。他的作品《谷》曾获得1937年《大公报》文艺奖金。中华人民共和国成立后，先后在上海出版公司、上海电影剧本创作所任职。师陀的作品深沉淳朴，擅长描摹世态人情，刻画社会风习，有时带着诙谐与揶揄的情趣，却又流露出淡淡的哀愁与沉郁的情调。文笔纤细,叙述简约,笔锋蘸满了感情，善于表现人物的心理状态。他的作品虽然缺乏强烈的时代精神,但对于社会黑暗现象的揭露与憎恶,对卑微小人物的同情，跃然纸上。早期作品较多地取材于农村。具有浓郁的乡土气息，以后逐渐转向描写城市的中层社会。在创作上对于作品艺术风格与意境的追求，怀着浓厚的兴趣。有些作品虽然对旧社会进行了揭露与控诉，但未能深入地发掘社会黑暗的根源。师陀结集的作品有：短篇小说集《谷》（1936）、《里门拾记》(1937)、《果园城记》(1946)、《石匠》(1955)；散文集《黄花苔》(1937)、《芦焚散文选集》(1981)、《山川、历史、人物》(1979)；中、长篇小说《结婚》(1947)、《马兰》(1948)；剧本《大马戏团》(1948)。
