民艺剧团日本话剧团体。原名"民众艺术剧场"。位于东京。1947年 7月由泷泽修、森雅之、清水雅夫、宇野重吉、冈仓士朗等人发起组成。1948年 1月与新协剧团联合公演《破戒》之后，又连续公演了J.C.F.席勒的《阴谋与爱情》、木下顺二的《山脉》等。因剧团的经营与政治观点的矛盾1949年 7月解散。半年以后，又由泷泽修、清水雅夫、宇野重吉、加藤嘉、下元勉、多多良纯、山内明、春日峻二，女演员北林谷荣、望月美惠子、樱井良子和导演冈仓士朗等再次创建，简称"民艺"。民艺重建后，第一次于西宫的日艺会馆公演《海鸥》，由冈仓士朗导演。代表作品有三好十郎的《嫉妒的人》、村山知义的《黎明之前》、М.高尔基的《底层》、久保荣的《火山灰地》、木下顺二的《山脉》等。每年公演 7个剧目，演出约400场以上。1961年民艺确定并提出上演现实主义戏剧的口号。1960年 2月村山知义导演的《底层》便是民艺现实主义创作的开端。民艺演员阵容雄厚，男演员中的骨干以泷泽修、宇野重吉为首，女演员的骨干以北林谷荣、奈良冈朋子为首， 导演有泷泽修、宇野重吉、若杉光夫、 渡边浩子、米仓齐加年、高桥清佑、内山鹑等。民艺是日本话剧团体历史较长的一个，它仅次于文学座、文化座、俳优座之后属第四位。
