锣鼓经与锣鼓谱戏曲打击乐器锣鼓谱式。锣鼓经简称锣经。是将打击乐中各种锣鼓点子的音响以口头模仿诵念，如僧侣诵唪禅经，故借喻为锣鼓经。在一般观念上，它又是"锣鼓点子"或"锣鼓谱"的同义词。戏曲艺人学习打击乐，大多采用口传心承。乐手须先念会、背熟"经诀"和掌握其板眼节奏，然后再练习演奏。有"不会背，打不对；会念经，容易通"的谚语。然而，作为口头诵念的锣鼓经，毕竟很难达到完备和统一的程度，而且不容易保存和流传。把锣鼓经的各种套数中所包含的音响节奏、组合结构，较为全面地准确地反映出来，就需要以分行联合总谱形式记录。这种记录的谱式就叫锣鼓谱。现行的锣鼓谱大致有 3种类型：①以汉字书写的锣鼓经谱；②以拉丁字母为音符的锣鼓简谱；③分行式打击乐总谱。第1种类型,属于旧式的直行书写形式，它是把锣鼓经用相应的汉字记录成谱。这种谱式所用的代音字较为繁杂，念法上各剧种也不够统一。早年的戏曲乐谱和民间器乐谱，常因袭沿用此种乐谱。第2种类型属于简谱形式,它是以锣鼓经为基础，选用拉丁字母作为音响符号，代替了原用的汉字，并在用字和读音上做了必要的精简和统一，使之规范化。这种谱式书写简捷，眉目清楚，与通用的音乐简谱节拍、时值协调一致。以上两种类型的锣鼓谱，都属于单行式的文字谱。严格说来，用单行谱式记录多种器乐的组合，都有其不足之处。第 3种类型系分行式总谱，采用代音字或是符号式，它不仅能分别表明各个乐器演奏的实际时值，而且各种音响的组合，也一目了然，并将鼓板与锣、钹的关系清楚地标明出来，是比较科学的记谱方式。熟悉锣鼓经（谱）对于文场乐手和演员说来，也很重要。文场乐手必须掌握锣鼓点子与曲调、板式的关系，演奏时衔接才能严紧、默契；演员娴熟锣鼓经，能增强表演和唱念上的节奏感和准确度。虽然不要求他们掌握演奏技术，但能谙知，对表演确有很大裨益。锣鼓谱式三种
