1.Using MSS satellite image data in 1975 and ETM image data in 2000 as r emote sensing information source,we studied the status quo and dynamic change of sandy desertificationalong the Great Wall in northern Shaanxi through building scientific classification system for sandy desertified land in combination with GIS analysis method.采用1975年MSS卫星图像、2000年ETM卫星图像为遥感信息源,通过建立科学的沙质荒漠化土地分类体系,并结合地理信息系统方法,对位于农牧交错带生态环境脆弱的陕北长城沿线沙质荒漠化进行了现状及动态变化分析,结果表明,经过20多年来沙质荒漠化防治,现代沙质荒漠化过程得到了明显的逆转,25年间,沙质荒漠化土地面积减少了195。

长城及沿线城障修燧汉长城长城及沿线城障修燧汉长城西起甘肃敦煌县玉门关以西，沿疏勒河南岸，经湾窑墩，天桥墩，吐火洛，后进入安息县北湖。再向东到金塔县境内，接居延塞，沿额济纳河迤题北上；曲折蜿蜒，气势磅礴。另一走向从金塔，高台，张掖，山丹，永昌，民勤，武威，古浪，永登等县，过黄河东去。城垣虽经两千多年风沙侵蚀，但有些地段至今仍坚固完整，屹立于戈壁中；玉门关附近城垣保存较好。结构为就地取材，以芦苇，红柳，胡杨和罗布麻等夹砂砾石层层夯筑。城垣最高处4米左右。芦苇等层厚5厘米，砂砾层厚20厘米，粘结非常牢固，可谓我国古代独创的“混凝土”。长城内侧高峻处，风燧土台相望。土台以黄土为基，上部用土坯垒砌，高者达10米。台旁墙坞内有戍卒所居小舍，备弓弩刀剑，石块等防御武器。烽顶小室为戍卒日夜警戒执勤的岗位，如发现敌情，相互报警。据说狼粪燔烟最大，使远处易见，故土台俗称狼烟墩，又名烽火台。
