核物理中的脉冲幅度分析器测量电脉冲信号幅度分布的仪器。它把脉冲信号按幅度的大小进行分类并记录每类信号的数目。常用于分析射线探测器的输出信号，测量射线的能谱。脉冲幅度分析器分为单道脉冲幅度分析器和多道脉冲幅度分析器两种。单道脉冲幅度分析器 每次只记录处于某一个幅度区间内的输入脉冲的计数,调节此幅度区间内的位置(称为阈值)重复地进行测量,即可测得脉冲的幅度分布谱。多道脉冲幅度分析器 把整个被分析的幅度范围划分成若干个相等的区间（区间的大小称为道宽，区间的数目称为道数），一次测量就可以得到输入脉冲的幅度分布谱。最早的多道脉冲幅度分析器是用机械原理构成的，以后又出现了一些由电子线路组成的多道分析器，直至1950年首次以模- 数变换器构成多道脉冲幅度分析器之后，多道脉冲幅度分析器才迅速发展起来，并成为核实验技术中必不可少的设备。现代的多道脉冲幅度分析器除了以单参量脉冲幅度分析方式获取脉冲幅度谱之外，一般还具有以其他多种方式获取实验数据的功能，如双参量脉冲幅度分析、慢变化电压的幅度分析式采样测量、慢变化电压的波形记录式采样测量、多定标器式数据获取、时间谱的测量等等。这样，多道脉冲幅度分析器就不仅用于核能谱的测量；在穆斯堡尔谱（见穆斯堡尔谱学）的测量、核反应堆的动态特性测量、生物电信号的分析等方面都有广泛的应用。多道脉冲幅度分析器一般由模- 数变换器、数据存储器、显示器、控制器等几部分构成。获取的谱数据可以在显示器上以数码或谱曲线的形式显示出来，也可以由快速打印机或描迹仪输出。带有微处理机的多道脉冲幅度分析器可以对获取的原始数据进行处理，输出实验的最终结果。多道脉冲幅度分析器的技术指标有:道数、道宽、道宽的误差、道宽的稳定度、分析零点的误差、分析零点的稳定性、微分直线性、积分直线性、死时间和可测的最大脉冲计数率等等。
