非占位涂料(转移涂料)4.1 概 述 非占位涂料又称转移涂料,其工作原理是将涂料直接喷涂到芯盒或模样表面,然后填砂、紧实,涂料层和型(芯)砂在芯盒的约束下同时固化,起模时涂料能从芯盒或模样表面转移到砂型(芯)表面,从而制得带有涂料的精密砂型(芯)。由于这种工艺方法所形成的涂层不占据型腔的有效位置,故称为非占位涂料法,亦称转移涂料法。采用这种方法不会影响型(芯)的尺寸精度,涂层可完美地复制出模样或芯盒的表面,不存在刷痕、流淌、堆积等涂料表面缺陷,能获得精密光洁的铸件,可与熔模铸造相媲美,而其成本仅相当于或略高于普通砂型铸造,生产效率大大提高。4.2 国内外的研究应用情况 非占位涂料技术最早是出现在20世纪70年代,是日本小松制作所提出的小松(Komatsu)—山西(Yamanishi)法,简称K-Y法。该法的工艺过程为,首先在喷涂有分型剂并已预热的金属芯盒上涂敷粉状涂料,然后加入树脂覆膜砂,加热固化后由顶杆将壳型顶出。在壳型上,涂料已由芯盒内表面转移到树脂覆膜砂壳型表面形成了光洁的铸型表面。此法采用的粉状涂料和所能制造的型(芯)形状都受限制,所以难以推广。 80年代初,小松制作所对原来的K-Y法进行了改进,发展成为有机系新K-Y法。新K-Y法的工艺流程如图1,先在环氧树脂玻璃钢芯盒表面涂衬上硅橡胶膜,然后将涂料液倒入芯盒中,使涂料润湿整个芯盒内表面后,再倒出多余的涂料,在芯盒表面留下一层涂料;在振动条件下,向涂敷涂料层的芯盒内充填芯砂,再送入微波炉内加热,使涂料与覆膜砂一起硬化,然后脱芯盒,取出带有涂料的精密砂芯。新K-Y法有许多优点:芯盒本身不受热,尺寸稳定,有利于提高砂芯的精度和延长芯盒的使用寿命;由于填砂是在室温下进行的,所以不必非得用树脂覆膜砂,可以直接填加粉状树脂和原砂的混合料;又由于使用的是液态涂料,可以很方便地涂挂在各种形状的芯盒或模样各个角落,所以对芯子的形状几乎没有限制。 1987年日本又开发了无机系的新K-Y法。所用芯砂为水玻璃覆膜砂,即先将无机系水基涂料涂敷在芯盒或模样表面,再充填包覆有水玻璃等无机粘结剂的干态砂,经微波照射,涂料中介质损失系数大的水分被选择加热,变成水蒸汽向芯盒外逃逸,此时,水蒸汽可将包覆在砂粒表面的无机粘结剂再次溶解,进而又干燥硬化,制得带有涂料的无机系精密砂芯。目前日本对K-Y法研究较多,已有K-Y法的专用涂料和芯盒制作的专利,并已形成机械化生产线。有机系的新K-Y法已被用来制造柴油机汽缸盖、进气道、排气道芯子及某些建筑零件。无机系的新K-Y法也已被用来生产叶轮、导叶、气缸盖、涡轮机匣、三角刃刀头等铸件,取得了良好的效果。
