超导磁体超导磁体superconductingmagnet用超导导线作励磁线圈的磁体。通常都用图1外加电流源供电方式工作,升场、降场都方便、安全。原则上也可以用闭合超导回路,采用超导开关方式工作。如图,电源P通过变阻器R向超导线圈S提供电流,调节R以获得预定的磁感应强度,然后接通超导开关K(例如冷子管),K与S组成闭合无阻回路,再切断电源,依靠超导电流维持磁场,但此方法极少被采用,其原因是超导开关很难做,升场、降场极不方便,且降场时会引起大量氦气蒸发,不安全。为得到尽可能强的磁场,常选用临界磁场较大的第二类超导体(如Nb3Sn等)作超导线圈。与普通线圈组成的磁体相比,超导磁体具有功耗极小、体积小和稳定性高等优点。图1图2超导磁体可应用于超导电机、磁流体发电机、受控热核反应实验、超导加速器、超导磁悬浮装置等。随着高临界温度超导材料的出现,会促进超导磁体的实用化。
