叶酸缺乏叶酸缺乏folicaciddeficiency妊娠期间，胎儿及孕妇本身造血功能加强，红细胞分裂增殖十分旺盛，需要的叶酸增多，故易出现缺乏。有人建议在胚胎发育的最初4周，孕妇应保证摄入足够的叶酸。患有肠道吸收不良疾患、肝脏疾患以及长期使用苯妥英钠、苯巴比妥等抑制叶酸代谢的药物均可导致继发性叶酸缺乏。氨基蝶呤、氨甲蝶呤属于叶酸抗拮剂，有抗癌作用。此类药物与叶酸的结构相似，可以竞争地与二氢叶酸还原酶结合，既能抑制叶酸还原为二氢叶酸，也能抑制二氢叶酸还原为四氢叶酸，因此使用此类抗癌药物时间较久也易出现叶酸缺乏。营养状况鉴定依赖于膳食调查、血液生物化学检查、血象检查以及尿生化检查。人体需要的叶酸主要来自食物。食用含叶酸丰富的食物，可防治叶酸缺乏症。新鲜的绿叶蔬菜、肝脏、肾脏及酵母中含量较为丰富，乳类、肉类及鱼类次之。豆类、谷类中也含有叶酸。蔬菜烹煮时间过长会破坏叶酸。
