【药物名称】艾 【别名】陈艾，大艾，艾蒿，艾叶。 【科属】菊科 【植物形态】植物形态：多年生草本，高可达1米。全体有芳香味，被灰色柔毛，茎部无毛，茎多呈圆形，分枝有浅纵沟，叶互生，卵圆形，羽裂，长5~14厘米，表面浓绿色，密生短毛，背面密布长的灰白色绒毛，裂片先端尖，有不规则的锯齿或小裂片；下部的叶具叶柄；上部的叶近于无柄，裂片狭窄如线形，叶柄上有类似托叶的小裂片。花淡黄色，头状花序，排成狭长的穗状花序，聚合成为顶生的圆锥花序，苞片3~4层，花全为管状，雌花长约1.5毫米;两性花长约2.5毫米。瘦果小，无冠毛。 生态分布：产长江流域至南部各省；多生于田边、路边、荒地、荒野，也有栽培者。 药用部分：叶或带叶的嫩枝入药，夏秋采收，以5月上旬采者为佳。 用途：性味苦、辛，温。能燥湿除寒，温经止血。治子宫出血，便血，吐血，衄血，腹痛吐泻，月经不调，妊娠、产后腹痛急经痛等症。用量：1.5~3钱，作煎剂。
