固原泾河源风景名胜区泾河源风景名胜区在宁夏南部山区泾源县境内。这里山清水秀，群峰争绿，林茂草丰，飞瀑流泉，鸟语花香，既有北国之雄，又具南国之秀，人称黄土高原上的"绿岛"，1995年被评为省级风景名胜区。这里的风景名胜主要有荷花苑、老龙潭、小南山、二龙河、鬼门关、凉殿峡、沙南峡等景区和秋千架、延龄寺石窟、堡子山公园、城关清真寺等。荷花苑景区，位于县城西5公里处，从峡口蜿蜒进入8公里，两侧青山对峙，溪水中流，山上万木葱绿，小溪清澈见底，蜂蝶飞舞，流水淙淙。最迷人的是溪水两旁绿草如茵，每年5月至8月，野荷遍地，伞叶交错，黄花泛香。老龙潭，为泾水之源。潭底深绿，深不可测，传说是魏徵梦斩老龙王的地方，柳毅传书的故事也发生在这里。二龙河，位于县城南30公里。传说老龙王盘踞龙潭时，派他的两个儿子在这里的河边安营扎寨、镇扼咽喉，故名二龙河。两侧奇峰幽谷，间有松林华盖，绿草如茵，鸟语花香，流水潺潺。凉殿峡，位于县城西南25公里，为六盘山腹地，气候湿润，环境幽雅，景色优美，自古就是避暑胜地。史载元太祖成吉思汗西征时曾在此避暑蓄锐，并建有亭台楼阁。至今尚有勒马石、柱墩、马槽、插旗座等遗址。泾河源风景名胜区除上述景区外，还有位于县城东北10公里处，两峰如柱的“秋千架”，传说是穆桂英曾荡过秋千的地方。南距县城30公里，俗称“石窟儿”的延龄寺，是宋代名僧济公和尚修仙行道之处，现仍有石窟4处。
