轻稀土元素分子式：CAS号：性质：一般将稀土元素划分为两个亚族：（1）轻稀土元素包括镧、铈、镨、钕、钷、钐、铕七个元素，或称铈族（cerium group）稀土，它们具有较低的原子序数和较小质量；（2）重稀土元素（heavy rare earth elements, HREE），包括钆、铽、镝、钬、铒、铥、镱、镥，它们具有较高的原子序数的较大质量，有人将化学性质与重稀土元素相近的钆也列入重稀土亚族，因此重稀土元素也称为钆族（yttrium group）稀土。也有将稀土元素分为三个亚族：轻稀土元素（镧-钕），中稀土元素（middle rare earth elements, MREE,钷-钬），重稀土元素(heavy rare earth elements, 铒-镥)。
