砷砷arsenic一种化学元素。化学符号As，原子序数33，原子量74.92159，属周期系ⅤA族。古代罗马人和希腊人都把雄黄（As2S2）称为砷，中国的炼丹家则把雄黄和雌黄视为炼丹的必备药剂。1250年德意志A.马格努斯用雄黄和肥皂共热，制得砷。砷在地壳中的含量为5×10-4％，在自然界分布很广，大多以硫化物的形式夹杂在铜、铅、锡、镍、钴、锌、金矿中，主要砷矿有斜方砷铁矿（FeAs2）、雌黄（As2S3）、辉钴矿（CoAsS）、雄黄（As2S2）、砷黄铁矿(FeAsS)、辉砷镍矿（NiAsS）、硫砷铜矿（Cu3AsS4）等。砷有3种同素异形体：①灰砷。在常温下稳定，是脆的晶体，有金属性，能传热和导电，密度5.727克/厘米3，在空气中不易被氧化。②黄砷。淡黄色晶体，由灰砷的蒸气迅速冷却后形成，密度2.026克/厘米3，在室温下暴露在空气中即被氧化为As4O6，比灰砷不稳定。③黑砷。将砷化氢加热而得，密度4.7克/厘米3，灰砷蒸气缓慢冷却也可得黑砷，它是无定形物质。砷的熔点817℃（2.8×106帕)，613℃升华，在干燥的空气中稳定，在潮湿的空气中能生成黑色的氧化物薄膜，砷与水、非氧化性酸和碱不起作用，但能溶于硝酸和浓硫酸中。砷的氧化态为－3、＋3、＋5。砷的重要化合物有：①砷化氢（AsH3）是无色、有大蒜味的剧毒气体。②砷的氧化物有As4O6和As4O10。③砷的含氧酸有亚砷酸（HAsO2）和砷酸（H3AsO4）。砷及其化合物都有剧毒，从古至今，砒霜（氧化砷）一直被认为是能致人死命的毒药。砷的制法为先将砷的硫化物矿氧化为氧化砷，然后再用碳还原，即可得到单质砷。高纯度的砷是半导体材料硅的掺杂剂，提纯方法是先将粗砷转变为氯化砷，再通过精馏提纯，最后用氢气将三氯化砷还原为高纯砷。砷主要用作合金添加剂，用于生产印刷用合金、黄铜、耐磨合金、耐海水腐蚀钢。高纯砷用于制造半导体硅和砷化镓。三氧化二砷和砷酸盐用作杀虫剂和木材防腐剂。也用于玻璃和媒染剂生产。
