地籍地籍landcadastre国家登记土地隶属关系的簿册。一般用文字和平面图记载，标明土地所有者的土地面积、位置界线、土地质量、权属关系及利用情况等。在私有制社会，地籍工作是为了维护土地私有制，以便国家掌握土地资料按田亩征税。在社会主义社会，地籍工作是维护土地公有制，以利于土地资源合理利用的措施，并作为征收农业税的依据。一般包括3项工作内容。①土地登记。对土地使用者的土地，按面积、位置、界线、所有权和使用权登记注册，绘制平面图，颁发土地证。经过登记后的土地所有权和使用权受法律保护。②土地统计。通过土地调查，用数字、图表及文字资料系统地反映全国范围内已利用或尚未利用土地的数量、质量、权属和利用状况，以及土地的动态变化。在按单位统计的基础上，汇总成乡、县、省（市、自治区）和全国的统计资料，经政府部门审批后成为正式文件。中国明代休宁县土地登记鱼鳞册③土地评价。通过对构成土地质量的自然因素（土壤、气候、地形地貌、水文等）和经济因素（单产、位置、交通条件等）的评定，将土地按质量分成等级，为合理利用土地和征收农业税等提供依据。
