游牧民族——中华鲟中华鲟是我国特有的古老珍稀鱼类。远在公元前1千多年的周代,就把中华鲟称为王鲔鱼。它的吻尖突，口小无牙，身体呈椭圆筒形。口前有四条触须，用来搜寻水底的无脊椎动物、小鱼和其他食物。中华鲟鱼是大型洄游性鱼类。它们像游牧民族，生在江河里，长在海洋中,在那里成长、发育，成熟期约需9-。完全成熟后，再迁移到我国浅海地区进入河口，在那里肥育、栖息。秋季，顺长江逆流而上，直至长江上游的金沙江一带产卵繁殖。幼鱼孵出后，便跟随着亲鱼远征，向河口、海洋游去。中华鲟鱼的寿命很长，可活一二百年。鱼体可长达2米以上，雌鱼体重约二三百千克。中华鲟鱼肉质肥美，卵可制鱼子酱，是珍贵食品；鳔和脊索可制鱼胶，所以过去一直遭到过度捕捞。许多水利工程由于忽视生态平衡，也使这种鱼类自然资源遭受严重影响。现在，中华鲟鱼有濒于灭绝的危险，因此要求严加保护。
