动力试验结构试验的内容之一，借以观察和研究飞行器结构或构件的基本动力特性以及在各种环境下的动态稳定性和耐受能力，是验证飞行器动态性能和动力分析正确性的重要手段。动力试验的具体项目较多，主要的项目有动力特性试验、颤振试验、摆振试验、落震试验和振动冲击环境试验。动力特性试验 主要测试全机或部件的固有频率、固有模态、广义阻尼、广义质量等动力特性（见动强度分析）。一般的试验方法是用激振、测量设备使试件产生简谐强迫振动，测出共振频域的反应，这称为地面共振试验。60年代后期又研究出机械阻抗测试技术、瞬态激振测试技术和随机激振测试技术，这些技术需要应用电子计算机进行数据处理以求出结构动力特性。激振设备包括激振器和振动台，前者适用于大型结构试件，后者适用于小型模型和零、构件试件。激振器和振动台都有机械式、电动式和电动液压式（简称电液式）三种型式。振动测量传感器可按多种原理制成，现代测量技术中应用电子计算机进行数据采集、分析、处理，并开始应用激光全息摄影法测量振动位移。在大型结构试验中，为了模拟飞行状态须将试件用柔软的悬挂系统（如橡皮绳、拉伸弹簧）或支垫系统（如空气弹簧、气垫、充低气压的轮胎）支持 （图1）。对于火箭，为模拟起飞状态，试件要处于竖直状态,须建造相应的塔式装置,称为火箭振动试验塔（见火箭振动特性试验）。颤振试验 主要采用模型试验方法，相对飞行速度可借助风洞、高速携带装置、飞机投放等办法实现。摆振试验 主要采用实物试验方法，可借助摆振台、以大飞轮模拟跑道实现相对滑跑速度 (图2)，或用试验车、真实飞机等在机场跑道上滑跑实现。落震试验 用落震试验台 （图3）模拟着陆冲击条件，借以确定起落架吸收飞行器着陆冲击能量的性能。较全面的模拟条件包括机翼升力（用仿升装置）、机轮带转、着陆姿态、侧向撞击、起落架收放过程等因素。振动冲击环境试验 验证飞行器部件或附件在规定的振动或冲击环境下的耐振强度、工作稳定性。试验在振动台或冲击试验台上进行。对于飞机还有模拟噪声环境的声振试验，座舱风挡玻璃等的耐鸟撞试验等。航天器和火箭的试验项目则更多。（见动力学环境试验）
