乌江渡水电站中国西南电网中的大型骨干电站,位于贵州省遵义市南55km长江支流乌江的中游。装机容量63万kW。水库总库容23亿m3,为季调节水库。枢纽以发电为主,兼有航运效益。坝址处河道两岸山坡陡峻,水量充沛。坝址以上控制流域面积27790km2,多年平均流量502m3/s。当地为三迭系石灰岩地层,地质构造复杂,除断层、裂隙外,岩溶十分发育,溶洞最大深度达河床下200m,洞高最大达50m。该电站于1970年开始施工准备,其后曾一度停工,1979年第一台机组发电,1983年竣工。水电站建筑物包括一座混凝土拱形重力坝,坝高165m,是中国在复杂岩溶区兴建的第一座高坝。为使坝基坚固密实和水库不漏水,施工中进行了大规模基础处理。例如在两岸岩体里的溶洞内回填混凝土,体积达8万m3;钻灌防渗帷幕纵向长约1020m,一般深80m(最深处达河床下260m),总面积18.7万m2,分别在10条地下隧道内施灌处理成功,为中国溶岩地区筑坝创造了经验。由于河谷狭窄,最大泄洪流量达21350m3/s,故泄洪方式新颖多样。4个坝顶溢流孔,水流沿坝下游面下泄,在达到坝后厂房顶前,先挑向空中,再越过厂房落入下游河道(即采用挑越式厂房);左右岸各设有一孔滑雪式溢洪道(见彩图)和一个泄洪洞,它们的出口布置在远近高低不同的地点,使洪水分散落入下游河道,消能效果良好。坝后厂房为全封闭式,安装3台单机容量21万kW 的水轮发电机组,多年平均发电量33.4亿kW·h,供电给贵州、四川两省, 主要起调峰作用。此外还有100t级升船机,设计年过坝能力50万t。
