民生主义民生主义孙中山提出的中国资产阶级民主革命的经济纲领，三民主义的一个组成部分。孙中山认为，民生问题是社会进化的原动力，民生就是人民的生活、社会的生存、国民的生计。中国作为一个贫穷落后的国家，需要采用欧洲的生产方式，发达资本，振兴实业，以达到繁荣富强的目的，同时避免欧洲资本主义制度的种种弊端。民生主义包括平均地权与节制资本两项内容。平均地权是通过核定地价，照价收税，照价收买，把因社会改良进步造成的土地增价收归国家，不使地主坐享地价增长之利；节制资本是通过大企业国有，发达国家资本和既允许私人资本发展又限制其独占垄断的办法，达到既振兴实业，开发富源，又防止私人资本操纵国计民生而造成贫富悬殊。孙中山认为，民生主义也就是社会主义。但实际上，平均地权的实施，是扫除封建土地制度对资本主义发展的阻碍，为资本主义的发展开辟道路；节制资本的政策措施也没有超出资本主义的范畴。所以，民生主义实质上还是资产阶级民主主义的经济纲领。只是由于这个经济纲领反映了孙中山的防止资本主义发展的矛盾与弊端的愿望，因而具有主观社会主义的特色。民生主义与孙中山的整个三民主义一样，经历了两个发展阶段，旧民主主义革命时期的民生主义的严重缺陷是：平均地权没有明确提出解决农民土地问题的要求和办法，节制资本没有明确提出反对外国垄断资本的措施。新民主主义革命时期，孙中山把旧三民主义发展为新三民主义，提出了“联俄、联共、扶助农工”的三大政策。在平均地权方面提出了耕者有其田；在节制资本方面，提出把有独占性的外国在华企业收归国有及制定劳工法、改善工人生活条件等措施，从而使这一纲领和中国共产党在民主革命阶段的政纲有了基本相同之点。
