板翅式换热器以平板和翅片作为传热元件的换热器。它主要由板束和封头等构成(见图)。板束中有若干通道。在每层通道的两平板间放置翅片,并在两侧用封条密封。根据流体流动方式不同,冷、热流体通道间隔迭置、排列并钎焊成整体,即制成板束。两流体流动方式有逆流、错流和错逆流等。A、B流体分别由入口封头经一分配段的导流片导入各自的板束通道,再经另一分配段的导流片导至出口封头而引出,两流体呈逆流间壁换热。常用的翅片有平直、多孔、锯齿和波纹等形式。板翅式换热器的主要优点是:①效能高。因翅片对流体的扰动,使构成热阻的边界层不断更新,传热系数一般为管壳式换热器的3倍;而且在小温差(1.5~2℃)下,热(冷)量回收效果好。用于气-气换热时效果最好。②紧凑。因大部分热量是经翅片通过平板传递,设备单位体积的传热面积可达1500米2/米3。③重量轻。传热面积相同时,重量近于管壳式换热器的 1/5。④坚固。因板束为一整体件而且翅片在两平板间起支承作用,故可承受较高的工作压力。此外,还可在同一设备中实现多种流体同时换热。但板翅式换热器通道狭小、易堵塞,清洗维修较困难,制造工艺较复杂。它大多用铝合金制造,也可用铜、不锈钢和钛等。由于铝具有良好的低温性能、重量又轻,故铝制板翅式换热器特别适用于制氧、乙烯和氦液化等深低温设备,也可用于动力装置中。铝制板翅式换热器一般用于设计压力小于 6.3兆帕、设计温度为+200~-270℃的场合。中国、美国、英国和日本等都已生产板翅式换热器。板翅式换热器的发展趋势是:提高翅片精度和钎焊质量,增加品种和规格,加强对翅片性能、多股流和有相变工况下的传热机理研究等。
