嘉宾介绍
Dr. Shengnan "Shane" Wu has 15+ years track record of applying big data analytics and algorithms to help businesses optimize performance. He currently serves as the Chief Data & Analytics Officer at JD (Jing Dong) Logistics, leading the development of its overall data infrastructure, products and intelligent decision systems. Previously, he held various positions in both private and public sectors globally. Dr. Wu is the inventor of several U.S. and China patents, published articles in prestigious journals, and delivered speeches in professional conferences world-wide. He received his Ph.D. degree in Operations Research from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.Eng. from Tsinghua University, respectively.

Abstract
JD Logistics (JDL) is one of the largest express carriers in China which originated from and serves s fulfillment needs initially. Since , it became an independent carrier and opens the high-quality logistics and supply chain management services to all types of customers ranging from individuals, small businesses to MNC clients. With the rapid growth of business, digitalization and system intelligence facilitated by big data and AI/OR technologies become imperative for maintaining the businesss competiveness and customer satisfaction. In this talk, we will provide an overview of JDLs road to building its "smart logistics" capabilities and elaborate on some real data-driven problem solving.
